GLIM is committed to protecting your personal information. This statement explains how GLIM collects and uses personal information. It also informs you about your rights in relation to us. By using GLIM services, you agree to the Privacy Policy and our use of your personal information. You also agree to GLIM using electronic communication channels to send you information. It is important that you read and understand the Privacy Policy before using our services.
In order to provide our services, we must use your personal information as described below. We do this with the utmost care to protect your information.
What information do we collect?
Information you provide to us. You may, indirectly or directly, provide us with information about yourself in many ways, such as when you make a purchase at GLIM. This may include:
- Personal information and contact information : name, date of birth, social security number, title, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, etc.
- Payment information : credit and debit card information (card number, expiration date, CVV), billing information, account number, etc.
- Information about goods/services : details about the goods you purchase.
- Information about interactions between you and GLIM : how you use our services, including website response times, download errors, input and output methods, and delivery confirmations when we contact you.

The information you provide to us, as well as information about goods/services and financial information, is usually required to enter into a contractual relationship with us. The rest of the information we collect is usually necessary for other purposes, which are explained below.
What do we do with the information?
Offer, perform and improve our services. All information is used to offer, perform and improve GLIM services. GLIM processes personal data for the following purposes, based on the following legal bases:
- Purpose : To verify your identity and confirm your personal and contact information.
- Purpose : To administer your order and the relationship with you as a customer, e.g. to fulfill our obligations to you as a result of any contractual relationships between you and us, and to provide you with information about products and services you have ordered from us.
- Purpose : For customer analysis and administration of GLIM's services, as well as for internal operations such as troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, surveys and statistical purposes.
- Purpose : To ensure that content is presented as effectively as possible for you and the device you are using.
- Purpose : To conduct risk analyses, prevent fraud and manage risk
- Purpose : To improve our services and for general business development. To develop products, and explore new business opportunities.
Communicate with you. GLIM may also use your information to send you periodic newsletters and other commercial information about products and/or services and to conduct customer surveys regarding our services (e.g. after you have contacted our customer service) via electronic communication channels and by telephone. You can always withdraw your consent for these purposes by sending an email to kundeservice@glimsmile.no
Who can we share the information with?
We may transfer or share information about you with selected third parties, as listed below. We take all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that information about you is treated securely and adequately protected when transferred or shared with such selected third parties.
- Logistics and transportation companies. GLIM may transfer information about you to suppliers and subcontractors to perform our contractual obligations to you, and for other purposes as described in this Privacy Policy.

- Payment Partners, Credit Reporting Agencies and Similar Providers. Your personal information may be shared with credit reporting agencies and providers of similar services to assess your creditworthiness when you apply to pay with one of GLIM's payment methods, and to verify your identity and address information.
- Authorities. GLIM may provide necessary information to authorities such as the police, tax authorities or other authorities if we are required to do so by law or if you have consented to it. An example of legally required sharing of information is to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
- Disposal. In the following situations, we may share personal information with a third party:
- If GLIM sells or buys businesses or assets, personal data may be shared with the potential buyer or seller of such business or assets.
- If GLIM or a substantial portion of GLIM's assets are acquired by a third party, personal information about GLIM's customers may be disclosed and shared.
What do we NOT do with your personal information?
We will not sell your personal information to third parties without your permission.
Where do we store personal data?
We always do our utmost to process personal data within the EU/EEA. However, in certain cases, data may be transferred to, and processed outside the EU/EEA or with a supplier or subcontractor. As GLIM is committed to protecting your data at all times, GLIM will take all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that information about you is processed securely and is adequately protected compared to, and in line with, the level of security applicable within the EU/EEA.
How long do we store personal data?
We store personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you and as required by statutory retention periods. When we store personal data for other purposes, such as to prevent money laundering, to comply with accounting laws and capital requirements regulations, we store the personal data only for as long as necessary and/or required by law for each purpose.
Your rights to access, modify and delete
- Right of access. You can request a printout of the information you want to see and verify the information we have about you. There is no charge for obtaining such a printout.
- Right to amendment. You have the right to correct incorrect or incomplete information about yourself.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). You have the right to request that your personal data be erased if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. However, there may be legal obligations for GLIM that prevent us from immediately erasing parts of your data. These obligations stem from accounting and tax regulations, banking and money laundering laws, but also from the Consumer Purchase Act.
Request access, change or to be forgotten. To access, change or to be deleted, send an email to kundeservice@glimsmile.no. To process your request, GLIM needs information from you that confirms your identity, such as ID document, driver's license or copy of passport.
